of course not...do you think they will just sell their bond portfolio? have you ever known japan to do anything that made sense? LOL!

and i keep saying this...i am not a mid to long term gold bear...just feel that the short term deflationary policies will yield a perception that will keep gold pinned down longer than most on this thread seem to think.

it's a trading call.

The only thing I can guarantee is that what ever they do, it will be wrong. The FED should have been the hell out of the market six months ago

okay...so gold should go up and the market should tank. well, the fed does intervene and they surely do make things worse. however, they effect liquidity and market psychology and right now gold is stuck and the market is rising.

if i was always short equities and long gold my daughter would have a barren christmas.
