This Thread as Contrarian Indicator: I follow a number of contrarian indicators that have a short or intermediate term focus, Jake Bernstein's indices of trader sentiment, AAII Survey, Market Vane, Consensus Inc, Weekly AMG cash flow reports. Neither this thread nor the other SI threads I've visited correlate that well with them. Near the time of that Thurs intraday high a week and a half ago, the indicators were generally showing high bullishness, but the majority of the posters on this thread with strong opinions were still bearish. Its best to decide in advance what contrarian indicators you're going to use.
