It would also cut down on the ability to obtain justice against the providers, which in the case of the UK is the UK. If the defendant has a legitimate claim, they can counter sue for damages.

On a more general lawyer and law question, what do you think about instituting the European system here where lawyers and plaintiffs have to pay the costs of people they sue if they lose the case? That would surely cut down on frivolous lawsuits here.

As much as I hate the abuses of the current system, I think this would be a bad idea. It will definitely chill access to the Courts....
