I am very happy to hear of your son's success. I can imagine hardly anything as low as attacking someone in a wheelchair. It takes courage just to go out and leave oneself vulnerable, and strength just to endure the humiliations of dependency and to achieve some degree of independence......

Thanks for sharing your son's story, Ken. He sounds like a wonderful young man and you are obviously very proud of him.

I have worked by entire life with the differently-able and have learned more from them and from their families then I ever taught. We are all given gifts in this life and we are required to use them all. Some lament about what they didn't receive...and others continue be grateful for what they have.
