Calling the language intemperate means that it is inherently unreasonable. I cannot be rationalizing something that I have both condemned and characterized as intemperate. I can be saying why I do not utterly condemn their loss of temper, and therefore ostracize them, which is what I did. Characterizing their reaction as intemperate has nothing to do with denying that they wished the people in question would shut up. Of course they did. It doesn't matter much, though. How intimidating is a person on another monitor, after all? The phrase "not altogether disconnected from the provocation" is an understated way of saying that there was a provocation, even if they over- reacted. I was being dry in using the locution. Apparently, your careful reading is not careful enough. I don't like it when you use my words to create mare's nests. That is quite different from disliking having my words looked at closely. The difference has to do with competence in interpretation.......

The behavior is worse than mere intemperate language-choice; such language is an attempt to intimidate and silence, as you must know. The arrogance of ignorance shows itself again. If those whose language shows that they give aid and comfort to our enemies are free to post their opinions on these threads or elsewhere (and they are) then I am just as free to share my opinion of such despicable behavior. I am mightily sick of your pompous, condescending behavior. I shall post whatever I wish to post. I worry not about the judgments of intolerant, PC, demolib pinheads like yourself. It is obvious to me you have tenuous grasp of reality to begin with... JLA
