re: Liberty Alliance adds important members

Current membership:

American Express NTT DoCoMo
AOL Time Warner Openwave Systems
Bell Canada United Airlines
Global Crossing RealNetworks
France Telecom RSA Security
General Motors Sony Corporation
Hewlett-Packard Sun Microsystems
MasterCard United Airlines
Nokia Vodafone

Note of course Microsoft's absence, and Sun Microsystems presence. Sony, Vodafone, and DoCoMo seem to be in all the alliances with Nokia.

American Express, and MasterCard International are important players in this initiative. There was some conjecture that the major Credit/Debit financial players were at cross purposes with the Liberty Alliance. VISA is still notably missing, as are many of the terminal players.
