I really enjoy watching the joy of Christmas through my 5 and 3 year old's eyes. They have been on adrenalin since "mom" decorated the tree over Thanksgiving. I hope JXN enjoy's his holiday.

The tradition in my family consists of going out to Crown Christmas Tree Farm to select and cut our tribute to our pagan roots. The experience is made all the more entertaining by my wife insisting we select a tree that is at least 2 feet taller than our living room ceiling (which is quite high in any event). This ensures that the trunk has a diameter of about 12". The family gathers around and collapses into fits of laughter while dad crawls under the tree sweaing mightily as he attempts to cut the tree down. This continues at home, when, as is usually the case, dad finds that the trunk is too large to fit the tree stand.

My daughter claims if wouldn't be Christmas if she didn't get to watch dad have a fit over selecting and decorating the tree.
