HI Brian,

Whatever ,whenever you find what you're missing please let me know.

You can call me paranoid but these are the same guru's who projected record earnings in 2001!<vbg>

I really do think that these guys run at the mouth to see what effect they can create. Some times I thimk they find themselves short and want to cover or wanting to get long and create a selloff of the weaker holders.

I think they find some wet behind the ears and tell him to fire for effect and someday he can worry about his reputation but not now.gggg

Cohu has had no sellers all day-the spread has been 30-43 cents. If you want to pay step up to the pump -if you want sell you get clipped.Unless you want to split the bid/ask and hope there is a buyer in between and then it comes at 100 and 200 share lots.

Like in bull markets today started outb weak and now we're seeing strength into the close - where the smart money trades (the last hour).

Go Baby Go !!!

Bob

Brian, that article is to be ignored because it is deliberately misleading. For example >Stocks in the group have soared over the past three months: Lam Research has gained 48.4% since Sept. 21, while Credence has soared almost 79%. Applied Materials has risen 48%.<

Conveniently he does not mention the 9/11 drop [which far exceeded the drop of the SP500] and that AMAT, for example, is barely back to its pre-attack price.

Brian,

i think he was referring to PE's and PS's perhaps and NOT stock prices. certainly the stock prices are way below 2000 prices, but given the dropping earnings, PEs and PSs are higher than the multiples during 2000.

disclaimer: i have not read the analyst's entire report. i am just basing my reply based on the excerpt from your posting.

henry

PS: hopefully in a couple of years at the next upcycle, you will be featured in Smart Money or Money magazine as a AMAT millionaire!
