Damn Slider, I'm really concerned about you. I think you're losing your mind. Or, should I say "loosing" as your Mensa female Pooch likes to say.

I have never owned HAL. Never, ever, never! Not even when it was doing good.

>> ...the CALL of THE bottom - was the "TURN" at OSX 58....and that is the only one that mattered of late. <<

That was a good call. I'm man enough to give credit where credit is due. Sure beats la Pooch's major move in gold. His gold portfolio, which I'm tracking is up a whopping 4.5%

siliconinvestor.com

No Slider, the money making call was buying USPIX during the Bear market. A move that brought over 200% returns to those who participated. Now that's a major move!

My hyperventilating call was right on. Best seven week performance in 20 years. Sorry I didn't pound the table like la Pooch with his recent "ding, ding, ding" rant on Seldom Right. You see Slider, when you deal with intelligent people like those on HTP, you don't tell them what to do, you make suggestions and you back up your suggestions with how you came to those conclusions. It's how mature adults communicate. (Don't make me pull out the dictionary to define the word; mature.) <VBG>

I'll save the "BUY NOW NITWITS OR YOUR MOTHER WEARS COMBAT BOOTS" for your devoted fans of Seldom Right. <VBG>

Slider, do yourself a favor. You'll feel much better afterward if you'll just do the right thing because it's the right thing to do.

Say, "Nice calls bum!"

C'mon, say it. Repeat after me. "Nice calls bum!"

You'll feel a breath of fresh air take over your mind and it'll free you of those thoughts of animosity. You'll even be able to focus on your analysis with a clear and focused mind.

You'll be better for it, the world will be better for it, and who knows, you may even get an ounce of respect back from those who used to respect you.

C'mon, "Nice calls bum!" YOU CAN DO IT!!!

The intelligent analyst,
Sheriff bum

Holy smokes, Dr. Frankenstein (IT'S FRANKENSTEEN!) now you're going to start using your famous hindsight to place more stocks in our portfolio?? Well, of course you've been doing that all along, telling us when we were long, when we were short. Are you that guy in Chicago who gets tomorrow's paper today??

Let me give you a list to start working your "special" skills with, just in case you aren't bright enough to get them quickly enough, so you can keep practicing the big lie methodology:

1) Good, claim everyone on HTP was long on HAL, if possible since last March. Please have us buy it at the high and tout it, frequently.

2) Don't forget ENE. We all bought it at 85. Keep pounding the table on that one. And we just kept buying all the way down. VBG.

3) How about long CPN?? That's a good one. Let Kenny know.

Now, what about this chart, your fabled investment in NEM:

siliconinvestor.com

Up a rousing 8.6% in 70 weeks, that's a brilliant 6.39% annualized. Warren Buffet, he's got nothing on you. Good call.

(By the way, just in case you don't get it, we're all laughing at you. Not with you. We wait for the sage of Chicago to show up, spin some veddy veddy tall tales about the direction and timing of gold calls, $500 btl wines and super model girl friends--beats cable. As for credibility, which seems to be your issue with the Bum, permit me to summarize: he's got it, you don't.)

I suppose we'll be hearing from Kenny soon. Jane and Joel have missed him the way doggies miss a favorite fire hydrant.

Slider, I'm man enough to admit it when you're right. I started out with $10,000 in money I got from a phoney slip and fall case that a friend of mine helped me out with. (A nameless friend if you know what I mean) That was at Naz 4500 and I went in with both feet on a margin account. They let me margin to 40% cash which seemed like a good thing when I made $50 the first week.

When that puppy started to drop, I had to sell some of my internets but the price got so cheap I mortgaged the house and made the big plunge at naz 4000 with another $20,000 in cash. I margined that also and it didn't work out to well. I dropped to $1,500 in equity and I had that big honking mortgage to deal with too. That's why I burned down the house. I didn't get much out of it but at least I got rid of the payment. I also got rid of the dog food bill. Ole Sparkey went in after one of the hamsters and never made it out. Damn that hamster, if it wasn't for him Sparky would still be here with me. I could use that wet tongue of his to clean off my hands in the camp when I run out of water, but then I get ahead of myself.

I knew that $1,500 wasn't enough equity to get back my 30k so I robbed a couple of liquor stores and got another $500 dollars and good supply of cheap wine. Things turned up immediately. I used all that I had learned and invested in oil stocks. I was a big man then. I posted a lot on SI when someone gave me a free subscription. I held onto those oils all the way from osx 145 on down to osx 50. Unfortunately I also mortgaged mom's house during that period. Mom's 95 so it's a little hard on her to get wood for the fire and do the wash by hand in the winter but what the hell, spring's a short 4-5 months away and if she makes it I can't wait to see the look of joy on that wrinkled old face of hers.

I finally got tired of stocks that just went down slowly and I was running out of the wine from the liquor store heists. Suddenly life didn't seem as good as it seemed there for a while. That's when I started putting my money in those rocket rides like enron with a little in haliburton just for safekeeping for wine money. Maybe I should have been a little more careful but I was only down 400k and I was in a hurry to make it back so I could get a new dog and also a warm jacket for mom. I always put mom first, ahead of myself even and that's a fact.

Well, the rest is history and I'm here to tell you and also those that think that you're full of hot air, that it happens all the time. Every once in while JQP, Dabum or Kodiak come by the camp and hit up on mom. I have to drive them off with a stick and yell at them to get their own girl. Those ungrateful dogs, they forget that I shared a lot of stock tips with them and now they're trying to take mom away for camp help. I laugh out loud when I see them out gathering their own wood and breaking the ice to do their own wash down at the creek.

I've still got $12.85 in my account and if I had a computer I would check it once in a while. I'm still in the game and I tell mom that it's only a matter of time. Unfortunately, mom may not have much time left. I'm thinking of making another withdrawal from the local liquor bank. If you have any good tips let me know. Not those gold tips, something good, huh? Campy
