I think the new Romanian 1x operator may have the cheapest cost structure in the world. It is around $2/MB.....

We are starting to get closer to a pricepoint that will allow frequent mobile data usage on handsets. This price is still too high for laptop usage....but 1xEV-DO may enable another order of magnitude drop in costs.
