"Bush can't get his stimulus bill because he has no mandate."

You mean like the Clit'n health care mandate?

Bush ran on education...seems to me he's making good on that already. He even gave a little.

Kenneth,

I think the problem is the defection of Vermont senator Jim Jeffords. CBS 60 Minutes infamous correspondent, Mike Wallace, did a great puff piece on Jeffords on Sunday. In the story, it showed the ever so compassionate Jeffords tutoring to a special needs child. He's suppposedly a champion for special needs education and supposedly the mean President Bush and Republicans are not providing enough funding for this. The message in the piece was that he is so brave and principled in leaving the Republican party because he wants to protect the children.

I think its great Jeffords supports special education. But when it comes to a glass of "MILK" he wants New England families to pay top dollar for their children's milk. Many of us know he supports dairy cooperatives in New England that allows them to charge higher prices for milk.

Suffice it to say, Mike Wallace never asked him about the milk.

Daschle and the Dems, like Sen. George Mitchell in the early 90's, will do whatever is possible to prevent the Bush administration in helping the American people. So when I send in my fourth quarter estimated tax payment in a few weeks, I will think about how comforting it is to know that Sen. Robert Byrd,is building a new "aquacenter" (swimming pool) in West Virginia with my tax dollars. It's supposed to be for homeland defense? I bet it will have his name on it!

Regards,
Marty
