Well, one thing one might have done with Buffett's 1999 outlook would have been to increase one's bond allocation. In retrospect, such a move would have looked positively brilliant by now.

Maybe you're right in thinking that Buffett has secrets that he will not make public, but that's not the same thing as saying that his public statements have no value.
