sl: I have only an opinion: The organic technology apparently is still mostly in the lab. Lots can happen (disappoint) before it becomes competitive in the marketplace. Certainly the issue of working life of the product is important. The silicon and SC devices are way ahead. In the Cree high power / high temperature semiconductor field, I think "plastic" substrate will be at a big disadvantage. How much power could a "plastic" laser withstand, vs. SiC? Bottom line, IMHO, is: "Don't hold your breath." wj
