D.O.. . .

<< Second, some(much?) of this is company specific. Motorola and Micron have been laggards for several years . . . >>

Little argument from me on MOT (though their overall wireless comments didn't sound so company specific to me), but on MU. . . they kinda ARE the DRAM industry at this point, don't you think? So for them, company specific is not fair: DRAM prices have been horrible for a long time now, and while getting better, don't yet make for a profitable business. Also MU said demand will probably slacken off after the seasonal demand, so no corner has been turned there. Note, finally, that Toshiba simply got out of the DRAM biz this morning.

Mind you, I don't consider MU a bellwether of much beyond the DRAM biz, and I also find it one confusing to follow stock, so it might be up or down 5% tomorrow and it won't surprise me. But to say that the news is company specific in their case doesn't wash with me. Why do you think it's so?
