7:44AM TriQuint Semi (TQNT) 14.10: Bear Stearns downgrades to ATTRACTIVE from Buy, after co lowered guidance last night; firm believes that failure to gain share in wireless and a shift away from use of GaAs components in optical networking likely to impact growth for the foreseeable future and may cause stock to underperform vs its peers; lowers price target to $18.

7:36AM Solectron (SLR) 12.10: Robertson Stephens upgrades to BUY from Mkt Perform, citing attractive valuation, increased flexibility after proposed capital restructuring, and trough fundamentals which should gradually improve in 2H02. Although near-term outlook is murky, firm expects stock to move higher as end-mkt demand and cash generation improve. Reduces FY02 est to $0.20-$0.25 from $0.35.

7:16AM Motorola (MOT) 16.61: After the company issued cautious guidance last night, Lehman lowers CY02 rev/EPS ests to $28.1 bln/$0.12 from $30.6 bln/$0.17; sees co as value play but sees few near-term catalysts for the stock; maintains neutral rating.

7:04AM Kulicke & Soffa (KLIC) 17.66: Prudential upgrades to BUY from Hold and raises price target to $25 from $20; appears biz is beginning to improve as co is now seeing incremental orders for its fine pad pitch wirebonders. While recent rally in stk could lead to a bit of a pullback, believes the bias should be towards owning the name.
