Yes, we were in Paris recently and found the ordinary French to be most friendly and welcoming of Americans. It is the self-proclaimed intellectuals of the leftist persuasion who exude arrogance, superiority, elitism, and condescension. Come to think of it ... that sounds an awful lot like the U.S.A.
