I think you're right with your first statement. Beware of all attachments. Adobe reader is still safe from viruses but if you have the real adobe software you are vulnerable to embedded attachments. Jpg, gif, txt, and doc (especially this one-macros) are all vulnerable if you don't have your machine set to show all file extensions. Probably the most famous one was AnnaKournikova.jpg.vbs
