But Christopher asked me yesterday for a pax, never having either denied that he was NW (or admitted it; but we have him, don't we, and have more evidence than was posted, if you request me to continue this.) In any case, he has never denied since the beginning of this exchange having claimed he was a minister. Nor has he ever proposed that "it was a joke," or "it was tongue in cheek." Not even last night when he asked for the pax. Only you have proposed that. Just as yesterday you proposed that the reason he wasn't answering the question straightforwardly was as some sort of joke. Do you really think CH has found this fun? The reason CH claimed to his enemy JoeMoney that he was a minister is unknown to us. What isn't unknown is that he did it. To read the post is to know that it was intended to be believed by its recipient and other readers. You agree with that, I'm sure. It is important to remember that he has tried to evade admitting that he is NW. Just as CH was not a very good friend to you to put you in the position of defending him on this matter when the end was, had he been thinking clearly, certain, you are not being a good friend to him in raising it again when he asked to have it dropped, and in the spirit of the season, and in sympathy, and because we used to be friends, I agreed. If you want more evidence that CH is NW, ask for it. If you want more context to show the jokiness or lack of it of the claim he made, ask for it. I'd run it past him first, though. I will do as you and he decide regarding the pax when i get back. Merry Christmas!
