The sucessfull countries in the 90s were those who embraced the global economy.

That's right, because of the work that Reagan/Bush destroying communism globally, a global economy was able to flourish. clifton was in the right place at the right time. far more lucky than good. btw, the debt was paid by the "peace dividend", a dividend made possible by Reagan/Bush.
