But filtering out writers with a point of view doesn't solve your problem, by any means. What you are left with is often repeaters of so-called 'facts' who do not necessarily give you any insight to the inherent biases of themselves or their sources, or the background in which they wrote. You can deal with this problem if you are continually alert to it, but I would expect that using all sources, while discounting them appropriately, and making your own judgements about the logic of the theories advanced, would be more effective.
