at any rate this is from hoovers
Like a 31-flavor ice cream shop, OSI Systems does not lack assortment. The company's optoelectronic devices (58% of sales) are used for a variety of communications, medical, aerospace, and office products, including laser printers, laser gyroscopes, printed circuit boards, and medical scanners. The devices are also used in OSI's own airport and cargo inspection systems. The company sold its Silicon Microstructures subsidiary, which makes mechanical sensing structures, in 2001. Clients include Lockheed Martin, Xerox, and Motorola. About 55% of OSI's sales come from outside the US. President and CEO Deepak Chopra, who owns 14% of OSI, is not the New Age author of the same name, though his company does promote vision.
