Dan, Re: "So - are you claiming the the Xeons Intel has been selling are a fraud?"

My ability to translate your idiotic logic has for some reason fallen short today, so let me see if I have this straight.

First, I told you that the 900MHz Xeon has 8 times as much L2 cache as a Tualatin based Celeron, and this would help them to perform better in enterprise server applications (mostly due to better scaling). Your original argument was that such a Celeron would similarly outperform the currently fastest Itanium CPU on said applications.

Now, you claim that the fastest large cache Xeon is 700MHz (what about the 900MHz version that IBM, Compaq, and others have been selling for months now?). You claim that the faster frequency Xeons contain the same amount of cache as a Celeron, and because of this the Xeon is a fraud, or rather, you are asking if *I* am claiming that it is a fraud.

Tell me, Dan. Did you leave your brain at home today?
