Er, Japan holds the largest foreign percentage of total US debt. So when your tax dollars go to make interest payments on US sovereign debt that is held in Japan... the recipient is far more likely to spend that income on goods and services in JAPAN, than they are in the US (because the percentage of US imports in Japan relative to the size of Japanese GDP is far less than 5%).

Now, that wasn't too hard, was it :)
