Absolutely correct, however it did hurt Apple. Being the "first to market" is not necessarily a good thing.

They generate somewhere between $12 million and $24 million a month. Not a success....but not a total failure either.

At what price did PCS have to pay to receive this incremental revenue approaching at most 480M/year?

Another point to consider, you have provided a huge %age range. I don't know the answer and haven't checked, however are revenues "growing" from data services? Is the user base growing? Are users "demanding" more data usage from their cellular phone?
