Mort buying Dell is huge news, very worth following. He bgt into Ally around $6, which is now =$56 after the split.
I think we can count on Dell meeting its numbers for next two quarters(G). Else he would have waited to get back in.

The Insider Buy is unbelievable! 158,260 shares at $27.92.

Is the PC business on fire right now. I do realize that Intel has been very positive and had a hard time filling some Pentium 4 demand.

Going from the consumer selling period (now) to the corporate upgrade cycle is going to be very interesting.
Dell's market share back when all those PCs (1998 or early 1999) was somewhat less than it is now.
I would be willing to bet that they will get a greater market share on the replacements.

Has anyone kept track of the price cuts lately; I have not heard of too many lately--compared to earlier this year.
