With its moderate length pipeline and 20-way cache, Athlon is much less dependent on RAM bandwidth than is P4.

By the way, do you want to clue in Wanna_bmw about Intel switching to 256K cache on faster Xeons for most of this year, or should we just let him continue to embarrass himself?
