I am thankful to be an American because this country allows for freedom of expression, freedom of association, freedom to pursue one's legal goals, freedom of movement, freedom of faith or lack of. The special interests I refer to are corporate power and how they manipulate some of our freedoms, through financing of elected officials, and lobbying efforts in Washington, DC. Other special interest groups are those who have been allowed to have a position where our Government can be held to less than Constitutional standards. Sympathizing with terrorists, which terrorists am I sympathizing with?
