Aus - For what it is worth this is my partial analysis:-

1. The Toshiba deal must be seen as a recognition that material consolidation has to take place as there must be a significant over capacity in the World.

2. Both Tosh and SNDK must be concerned about competitive pressure.

3. A combination of the above and branding issues must, imho, have meant that profitablility was going to be increasingly difficult to see and SNDK probably decided this is the best way to get back to profitability and to conserve cash.

4. As for the fund raising I'm not sure I understand that at least not for $100.

Best,

L

Ausdauer, in keeping with the spirit of Christmas, please allow me to wish everyone at SI/SNDK the happiest of holidays and a happy and healthy new year. And, please let me host a round of applause to YOU ... for keeping this thread alive during uncertain times.

So many people said so many profound things this past year that I fear listing their names because I might miss one or two. Many thanks too -- to those here who wrote to say that they would appreciate my posts in the future (despite the fact that I recently sold all SNDK shares recently and said same here.)

IMHO, when you sum the total of all the public and private posts that I have had the privilege to share recently, this place -- SI/SNDK -- is simply "Exceptional".

Merry Christmas! Happy Chanukah! Happy holidays to all!

Craig
