Well when it comes to investments only SDII is reality and the trouble is that sometimes reality bites. I can deal with that, it's the war thing I'm having a tougher time dealing with. Every American wants to do something and still wants to do something. Most Canadians I've met have put it on ignore or are in denial, but just don't seem to care. Sad. I've never been a ribbon guy, but am still wearing my poppy from Nov 11 which I've attached to my coat with a US/Cdn crossed flags lapel pin.

Just thinking of an old haunt, the George and Dragon just a short stumble from my apt on the valley edge. Had to drag people to see there are no hills anywhere and going down a valley and up the other side doesn't count. Great City, unfortunately that old real estate maxim, you know, why'd they have to put it so far north? Oh yeah, something about an event I still have a top hat, cane and brokaided vest for called Klondike Days. Seems there have been gold rushes and oil gushes many in times in the past where Edmonton came up smelling like roses. Glad to know we're in another<G>.

I was there during the Principal Trust/Heritage Trust fiasco, but before Pocklington fell from grace. What ever happened to the Ghermazian's and their company was it Triple 5 or something? Do the banks now own the mall? I'd read the news in Alberta Report, but know the managing editor is an ND'r who thought Don Getty to be too far right, but took the money from the first family of right wing in Alberta, the Byfields.

Just having a nice nostalgia trip.
