10:50 ET Juniper Ntwks (JNPR) 19.60 -3.33 (-14.5%): --Update-- Merrill Lynch trimming estimates following earnings warning; reduces FY01 to $0.49 from $0.54 and FY02 to $0.30 from $0.44. Firm thinks this preannouncement is company specific and an indication of the service provider market; cautions investors not to draw industry wide conclusions.

Heck Bocor, even if retail sales uptic next qtr, it will likely be folks buying items that are deeply discounted to move it.

Of course, one wouldn't want think that Merrill is being a bit devious & trying to distribute their inventory on J6P, now would you? <g/ng> Seems that Mr. Market has begun to make cynics out of us.
