I don't know what they're replacing exactly, but my guess would be books about Windows. I haven't been keeping quantitative data or doing a scientific study -- it just seems like every time I visit, there's more to look at. A year ago the Solaris "section" at the local Borders was roughly one shelf -- now it's nearly a whole bay. They also seem to be featuring (on endcaps, tables, etc.) more Unix and Linux stuff, and even had a book signing with the author of a Unix book not long ago.

But I'll be the first to admit that it's a very indirect measure of popularity.
