No doubt in my mind that politicians were involved.........they always are. I used to say that the government is up for sale. No longer........the sale is over.......everything is sold out.......especially the citizens. And it doesn't make any difference which party you're tallking about............they're all on businessmen's dole.

WC,
The hillary clinton commodity trades come to mind. Having once worked on the commodity floor i was very familiar with trades being made and winners given as gifts and losses to those in the 90% bracket who needed it. Bill got campaign money that way.
Does anyone think that the Democrats are helping themselves by NOT passing the stim bill? It seems to me that the disagreement on how insurance will be continued for the unemployed is the most unimportant part of the bill. Whether it is cobra or tax credit i think. Bush is setting up for a patriotic run at congress in 02. Nov elections will be the second after the Trade Center but only the first after a string of military victorys by bush making him both popular and believable. Dems are counting there victorys in VA and NJ as a trend. Dont buy it. Watch out Daschle, your nascent run for the presidency is in the process of going up in smoke. mike
