If I understand correctly you are viewing sites that your browser has restricted cookies to. This is a new feature of IE6. Click on the icon that looks like an eye with a white minus sign surrounded by a red circle on your status bar. It should be towards the bottom right of your browser window when you access some sites. Click on the settings button and you will see more info. Your particular internet security settings will block some cookies according to whether you have it set to medium, high, etc. You can also access these settings by going to tools/internet options/ security tab. These settings will enable you to selectively deny the placement of cookies on your computer.

some secure sites will not display correctly with IE 6. I found out when i tried to enter a financial site. I called and was told the website doesn't support IE6 and to use IE 5.5 instead. so i switch back and everything is fine.
