Keep in mind that, compared to the amounts you are working with, I'm generating chicken feed. Usually, any option position I take is in the $1K to $2K range, so a huge percentage return on comparatively little risk capital isn't as lucrative as it might seem.

One reason I buy options instead of shorting is that I know, up front, exactly how much money I can lose if the trade goes wrong. The open-ended nature of a naked short scares me. Since I have a day job, I can't watch every tick - but I can admire your agility!
