Daschle and company should be forced to meet NON-STOP until an effective compromise bill is passed by the Senate. IMO, Daschle is clearly demonstrating that he would rather play politics than get the job done for the country.

Regards,

Scott

When the House was Democrat-controlled and the Senate Republican, the national media and Democrat House leadership constantly ballyhooed about how the House was, "the People's House," that it was more in tune with, and reflective of the people's moods and needs because all its members face re-election every two years, and therefore it should be listened to by the Senate which only faces re-election every six years.

Where are the media and House leadership now?

my take on stimulus package is 3/4 decent stimulus, 1/4 pork

some typical braindead elements to the bill
West Virginia $M's on fish DNA research ???
a dozen state-sponsored fundings of questionable value

I say
"spend two weeks and rework it, remove 9/10 of pork,
then pass it"

typical Democrat objection with not enough Hand2Mouth
