I think my computer came with IE4 and I upgraded to 6? How can I correct this?

This may not work for AOL's proprietary browser but you can go to control panel/add-remove programs and choose to remove Internet Explorer. This should produce a window asking you if you want to remove, repair, or revert to the previous version. I'd try the repair first and if your "missing pages" problem doesn't improve you can try reverting to IE4.
