Basically I didn't earn it.

Such is the nature of an entrepreneurial company.

You work for a strange hedge fund.

For most hedge funds, your reasons have nothing to do with your bonus.

Either A) If you make money for the fund, you get a bonus.

or

B) If the fund makes money, you get a bonus.
