Yes, it's easy and cheap of me to giggle over it. Like retroactive trading, it's hard to be wrong. I'll try to avoid it in the future.

If intel pulls off a successful large scale release in the near future(next 5 years or so)& get good software support, they'll vindicate themselves and then some. But from here, at least, that doesn't look at all assured.

I'll try to keep mum on the subject, at least on this thread.

Umm, no. x86 wasn't even on the radar screens of Power, Alpha and Sparc. Their targets were Vax for the most part.
