Guree, I believe the predictions for 2002 will be much harder than for 2001 so I'm not stepping up to the plate just yet.

For me, the unknown factor is the strength of the USD. If it remains much as it is then I don't see a POG over $300. In fact, there's every possibility that this mini-bull market may peter out quite soon and we could see the lows at $255 being tested. So, I'm keeping my powder dry until the closing day of the contest.

Although Bob didn't record my prediction for 2001 on his contest page what has happened to POG is very much in line with what I had anticipated. You will recall that I expected the gold shares to move up but without much movement in the gold price. This is in fact what took place.
