But if there were .... You focus too much on what ifs. Its the same kind of logic that gets multi-billion dollar star wars gizmos built while the subways can't even get a security guard that makes more than minimum wage. A rash of incidents will create a terrible panic. This is mostly a function of crisis leadership. The trouble is we have none. The President seems to be daring someone somewhere to knock a chip off his shoulder while the Vice President is hiding under the bed. No wonder folks are scared. The truth is Bin Laden is a lot weaker today than he was in September and getting even weaker every day. Ghadaffi is trying to get good citizenship medals, and the most blustery of clowns like Saddam Hussein are trying to keep a very low profile. There is every reason to be cautious and suspicious, but the country has not suddenly become paved with egg shells. TP
