<<in my opinion you can judge a newspaper, or any periodical, by how much time you spend reading it.>>

abstract: Good point...I have dropped subscriptions to many magazines and papers (like The New York Times and The Wall Street Journal) and now I just scan them online.

My brother who is the writer / editor in our family claims that The Chicago Tribune is still one of the country's top papers....that's just his opinion...he feels they clearly have room to improve but they have some talented journalists on their staff. In fact they have won some major awards. I will admit that I don't regularly subscribe to any Chicago newspapers -- I just scan them online and already have plenty of other things to contribute to the recycling effort...=)

Hope you and your family enjoy the holidays.

Regards,

Scott

Hi abstract! Couple of families that are our close friends and business partners exchange gifts each Christmas, primarily for the kids. We draw names, don't spend a lot of money, that kind of thing. Usually the adults have as much fun as the kids.

Well, guess what I got! A BATTLEBOTS game!
What a hoot. It's an arena with gadgets to make the bots fight. Now I have to go select the individual bots and buy a couple. Looks like they have about 15 of them to select from based on the info on the box.

Happy Holidays!
