Mish,

You make it sound so easy for the crooks to make money! If it is so easy and you know the max pain with all the options why not trade on it? Like I said it's not that easy is it? If it's not that easy then it's not that easy for anyone including these so called crooks! If you really study the MM in options they are the ones that are selling them to the traders and then will hedge their bets! I use to be a buyer of options way back in the mid 80's to about 1990 then learned that the money made with options was made by selling the premium that people like you pay when purchasing options! By the way I had a net loss on the options I bought in those 6 years where as I have net gains with my option sales since 1990! Options are meant to be sold! Never ever pay a premium for something that will expire worthless especially with less than 9 to 12 months time left! I will say this one can make a case for buying leaps, but then I would not sell a leap either!
