There is no doubt that MS SQL server is used for more and more projects, especially in the lower end. MySQL and Interbase usage has also skyrocketed, although this isn't normally mentioned since it doesn't generate turnover.

Personally I wouldn't invest in Oracle right now. Their products are too costly to operate for most uses, and the presence of crossplatform, solid database servers that are free has made many companies think twice about how much money they want to spend on databases and which vendor they want to buy it from. As far as I know, DB2 market share is also on the rise.
