Allegedly there are between 100 and 200 Israelis detained in the US since 9-11 for spying. Biggest spy ring bust in decades. Some of them spied on the very terrorists that set up the attacks. So who knows what some of them may have known.

In other related news, some guy was detained by police for asking a postal clerk to not give him American flag stamps for a substantial order. Clerk called cops, cops set up a two hour interview with postal inspectors the next day. Turns out the guy worked for a non-profit organization critical of US foreign policy. So he had an excuse anyway.

Also a Santa was barred from entering the mall he has appeared in for the last X number of years because the mall now has a no costumes policy. As if they couldn't make a common sense exception.

Remember last year a group of high school kids standing in front of the Jefferson Memorial broke out into singing the National Anthem and were silenced by park security for causing a disturbance. The park service was later forced to submit an apology in writing and the ranger involved was reassigned, but you get the point. The rigid and/or politically correctness around here sometimes is exasperating. Of course it is a big country so these things will happen, but it seems like something new every day.

I mean, can't even take a leak in an airplane lav anymore. Snap out of it America.
