u can go downstairs to the room with the safe deposit boxes with someone, put your key in the box and have the bank employee put their key in the box, take the box into a room with your friend and have a quickie without paying for a hotel room. thus,there still is a need for bricks and mortar.

People depositing paychecks and getting money perhaps??? Are all those people living hand to mouth? No idea, can't imagine why people do that either other than that.
