Hi Richard,

"I'm a radical environmentalist who believes in using less. You drew the parallel between health and competitive advantage. I draw the parallel between competitive advantage -- "capitalism" -- and a predominant role in the destruction of Earth."

I do not believe that an economic system (least of all capitalism) is inherently anti-environment. In fact, the very efficiency that capitalism promotes minimizes costs. It is rational to measure and apply all costs and that includes the impact on the environment which should be cared for and preserved. Under capitalism you get what you incent and you get it most efficiently. If environmentalists focused on rationally incenting rather than acting like we had a command system they would get further.

If I thought that germs were going to win in a couple of generations I would be less concerned for the environment in the absolute sense.

Americans live the way we do (and feed a good part of the world) because of the productivity that you demean/despise. If or when our productivity enters a secular decline we will be on a course to living like much of the rest of the world. I dare say that poverty is not the friend of the environment.

VP68881 - Don't have a clue.

I do not see why Clarinex should impact the VPHM price - again I am clueless.

Very respectfully,

ij

Also >> Way OT <<

They need to focus on NBIX the employee who can't afford NBIX a night without sleep, or to NBIX wake up groggy before work.

Chuckle . . . is there a subNBIXliminal mesNBIXsage being (NBIX:Neurocrine Biosciences) subtly sent here?

Warmest holiday greetings, Rick and all.
