The first disk is AMAZING. When Bothers in Arms came out I thought the disk was great but the couple tunes that went top 10 bummed me out. I felt the same way when U2 released Joshua Tree.

Have you ever seen "Local Hero"? or more importantly heard Mark Knopfler's score/soundtrack? He knows how to tell stories with that guitar.

Agreed about Money for Nothing and Walk of Life...blah

Agreed, Dire Straits "On Every Street" rocks... Really effortless to listen to. I'm writing this from my Parents' place, which is where I'm spending the Holiday season. For the 6-hour trip, I brought 5 burned CD compilations and 6 purchased CDs, of which "On Every Street" is one of 'em.

The other purchased CDs I brought with me for the trip are:
KLF - The White Room
Jann Arden - Happy?
Dixie Chicks - Wide Open Spaces
Melanie Doane - Adam's Rib
Big Country (it's in the car right now)

- and they all rock!
