Actually, I think your upper limit is possible, but it's going to take a few years. In one of his essays, Ted Butler gives an even higher eventual price for silver, well into 3 figures.

I'll take 5.50 for 2002 (not a prediction, just what would be just peachy, financially).

Boy am I frustrated with this price action.

I called for a 4.80 low this year in the Bob Johnson pool. Now here it is January 9 and we're stuck at 4.78.
