2Mars, I believe that what you constantly refer to about Christianity is extreme fundamentalism. It can be found in all religions, esp. Islam. However, there are many "enlightened" Christians. Enlightenment is no more than the modernity of races who have grown up around modern civilization where the old is thrown off for the new. Whereas, fundamentalism is hatred of modernity and the riches and lifestyles that our new technology brings to us who are fortunate to have been born into it. Modernity says, We all need each other for the common good, so lets be more liberal or give everyone the chance to work and have freedoms whether they are black, blue, red or green. There are many modern Christians who have grown along with the rest of the rennaisance of man. We are not superstituous or ignorant nor do we practice the ways of the Old religion of the Law. A real Christian is someone who you could trust with a secret or even your life. He cares for your welfare as much as his. He is not a fool for cons as the Spirit enables him to see the inner thoughts of who needs and who wants. He loves peace and the joy of a simple belief in Christ as one who will give eternity in a new life where their is no pain, persecution or suffering. This simple belief, faith alone, gives him or her the ability when death smiles, to smile right back. Christ has defeated death. "O death, where is thy sting? O grave, where is thy victory?" Thank God in Jesus Christ death has been defeated for the Christian. His eternity is in the NOW! You and your new age concepts should be tolerant of the concepts of Christianity. Do you see anything wrong or threatening to the Sermon on the Mount?
