It should be noted that the larger cap stocks did better "as a whole" than the mids and smalls in early Jan 2001. The bigger names were where the money was flowing into, it seems to me.

RtS, Thanks for the good wishes - and I want to extend the same to you and the other threaders for the upcoming holiday season. Next year ought to be a very good year. I am an optimist by nature and it seems to me that with 18 months or so of "bad performance" behind us, 2002 will be a good year.

I further think that January is going to be a very good month. Presently there is still a lot of money on the sidelines and a lot more will be coming on board in January. Funds, etc, will probably start putting a little of that money to work at the end of next week with a lot more coming on board in January. That is the way I see it. Hope I am not wrong.
